Heyne sight is 20/20: Free food at UD

You've probably heard a lot here at University of Dallas about living the good life. Plato has his ideas of the good life, Dante has a theory, and Ben Franklin at least has an autobiography. The only problem is none of these men actually lived at this University. In my generosity, I will give to you, over the course of the next few weeks, some advice from those who have made it nearly four years on how to live the good life at UD.

We are so lucky as students at the University of Dallas to be surrounded by incredible art exhibits all over campus. The Dennis Smith UD Regional Ceramics "Best of Show" Exhibit blew me away. I could barely pull myself away to go rush over to lunch and try to scavenge for whatever leftover grapes and pineapple might be left in the cafeteria fruit salad.

Award-winning Hungarian pianist gives concert

A young man acclaimed as one of Europe's most promising piano talents honored the University of Dallas' Lynch Auditorium on the evening of Jan. 24 with an exceptional performance that was part of the Crowley Chamber Music Series. The student-filled auditorium rang with applause as Péter Tóth took the stage, then soon fell silent as the young musician commenced the event with an elegant, echoing rendition of a Beethoven sonata entitled "The Tempest." "It was inspirational," said UD sophomore Mary Bloch of Tóth's performance. "I thought it was really beautiful."

Even the freezing cold and the changed location couldn't stop UDers from partying this Groundhog Day. As the park filled up around 9 p.m., Despairagus, Boot Hill and The Burning Hotels lit up the stage for hundreds of dancing and drinking students.
