After averaging a modest 13 wins per season since its inception in 2002, the University of Dallas softball team exploded in 2009, finishing at 20-17 while achieving its first ever 20-win season.
For 2010, a team heavily comprised of underclassmen will try to keep up the momentum of last year's record-breaking campaign, in which the Lady Crusaders set new team marks in runs scored, hits, homeruns, RBI and strikeouts. Fifth-year head coach Rachel Hanson will now try lead the team to a place it has never been before - the playoffs - and believes that this year's group has what it takes to make it to the promised land.

Undeterred by the miserable cold and frozen mud, the Hoggies faced off against the Dallas Area Rugby Club last weekend. The tone of the first half was set on the first play when Shane "Wild Thing" O'Neill broke his previous personal record by getting into a fight within 30 seconds of the start of play.

After 512 total regular season games and 10 heart-pounding playoff games, the Super Bowl is finally upon us. On Sunday night, the New Orleans Saints take on the Indianapolis Colts in Miami, Fla., for the right to supplant the Pittsburgh Steelers as NFL champions. This is the first time that the top two seeds have met in the Super Bowl since 1993.
