APO, AI hope to raise awareness of domestic violence
Alpha Phi Omega and Amnesty International will hold several events on campus this week for Domestic Violence Awareness Week.
Dr. Gilbert Garza will present "The Psychology of Battered Women" at Dinner & Discourse Tuesday, March 28.
Caitlin Coyner will present "The Work of Brighter Tomorrows," a local emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence, on Wednesday, March 29.
A letter campaign booth will be in Haggar from noon - 2p.m. Thursday, March 30, to encourage U.S. legislators to ratify the Treaty for the Rights of Women.
There will be a service project at Brighter Tomorrows on Friday, March 31.

Photographer to return for yearbook pictures next week
There's still one more chance to make it into the 2005-2006 Crusader Yearbook. Photographers will be in the Haggar Foyer, Mon. April 3, from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Seniors: be sure that you get photographed. Pictures will be large and in color. Men are advised to wear a nice shirt and tie, and ladies should wear a nice top. If you have any questions please contact Katy Arnn, Yearbook Editor, at katyarnn@gmail.com.
SMU French Film Festival intended for adult audiences
The SMU French Club will be hosting their 10th Annual French Film Festival March 29 - April 11 in the Hughes-Trigg Auditorium at SMU. All films begin at 7 p.m. and admission is free and open to the public. The films will be shown in the following order: Bon Voyage, Un Long Dimanche de Fiançailles, Monsieur Ibrahim, Les Choristes, and Qui a tué Bambi? The public is advised that all films are intended for adult audiences.
Thrills begin tonight
Mary Rose, a ghost story by J.M. Barrie, opens March 29 at the Margaret Jonsson Theater. The mainstage play is directed by Patrick Kelly, drama department chair.
Dr. West challenges UTA professor in Bradford Debate
At 7 p.m. Friday, March 31, SPUD Academic Events will be holding the annual Bradford Debate in the Art History Auditorium. SPUD has decided to return to the original purpose of the Bradford Debate, to discuss the principles of the American founding and their application to contemporary politics.
The question for this year's debate will be "Affirmative Action: Is it constitutional? Legal? Good?" In the debate, Dr. West of the politics department will be defending the constitutionality of affirmative action against Lino Graglia, a professor at the UT-Austin law school. Professor Graglia has been interested in the question of affirmative action since the issue rose to national importance, and is a well-known expert on it. He has written a book on the subject, Disaster by Decree: The Supreme Court Decisions on Race and the Schools.
Lazy Faire to blow up this weekend
Lazy Faire, "UD's most inflated event" will take place Saturday, April 1, from noon- 4 p.m. The RHA event will include inflatable obtacle courses, a slip-and-slide, a velcro wall, and a dunk tank featuring faculty members.
