Question of the Week:
Everytime I want to have some alone time with my girlfriend, my roommate is around. I try to hint to him that we'd like to be alone. But he doesn't seem to get it. How can I ask him to leave without beng rude?

Wow! Do I feel your pain! Look, if all you do is drop hints then stop! When you only drop hints that you want some snuggle time with your girlfriend, it makes it so awkward for everyone involved. Just ask your roommate straight out - preferably when your girlfriend is not around - if he could perhaps give you a little more time alone with your girlfriend. Compromise with him and if he says no, then S.O.L.

One thing that you have to remember is that it is his room also, and that means you have to respect his wishes. One thing you can do is create some sort of clue - if the bolted door isn't good enough - that tells him if he enters the room he is in for a world of awkwardness. Just follow the Golden Rule and you should be just fine, thanks for your question and take it easy.
