SPUD would like to thank the student body for participating in a great semester of programs.
There are two awesome Christmas events planned to finish out the semester! First, on Thursday, Dec. 13 (last day of classes) SPUD and SG are hosting a school-wide Christmas party in Haggar Foyer. Come out to the foyer from 5-9 p.m. for hot chocolate, apple cider, cookie decorating, snowflake making, and Christmas carols with piano accompaniment and pictures with Santa! (Santa will be there from 5-6:30 p.m.) Then head down to the last TGIT of the semester with jazz band, A New Shade of Soul, for a good mix of classic hits and holiday songs. As far as next semester goes, the Mallapalooza line-up is almost finalized! So far scheduled are headlining band Dexter Freebish, singer Johnny Lloyd Rollins, UD alum band KINCH, Beatles cover band Hard Nights Day, plus 3 UD bands. And of course, everyone be ready for an awesome Groundhog weekend when you get back next semester!
The numbers are in from Charity Week; the total raised was $25,251.12. Checks were sent to White Rose Women's Center, Casa de Hogar, and Food for the Poor Inc, the Low Weight Birth Development Center and Catholic Charities Dallas.
