Do you like to eat? I thought so. Do you like to cook? Maybe cooking provides you with an outlet for creativity and a relief from stress, or maybe your cooking ambitions amount to a few beeps and a start button. Whichever it may be, we all agree that between work, class and late night "studying," there's little time left to create any sort of culinary masterpiece.

We may not be a Giada De Laurentiis or an Emeril Lagasse, but let's give ourselves a break. These masters of culinary art probably aren't pouring over metaphysics and contemplating the essences of being and non-being existing simultaneously. I doubt those so skilled in the creation of delicious culinary indulgences are concerned about Dante's inferno or occupied with the creation of a city in speech.

I guess you just cannot have it all - good food and the good life. Or can you? Shouldn't the good life include something more pleasant than those mouth-scalding, soggy pizza rolls and dehydrated cheese powder plastered over macaroni noodles? I think so, and if I may be so bold to say, Giada, Emeril and Aristotle would all agree.

Don't let your lack of time, your small kitchen or the repulsive feel of raw meat discourage you from getting your hands messy and creating something tasty. Here's an idea that includes a classic package of ramen noodles, one egg, soy sauce and frozen vegetables. Put all this in a frying pan and you'll have stir-fry ramen noodles. This recipe gives you an alternative to the regular ramen noodle recipe and provides a place for some vegetables.

The recipe is as follows:
1 package ramen noodles
1 egg
1 tablespoon of soy sauce
2 cups of frozen stir fry vegetables
vegetable oil

Directions:
Boil ramen noodles as directed on package. Drain noodles and stir in seasoning packet for extra flavor and set aside. Prepare a frying pan with vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Crack an egg into a small bowl, beat and set aside (like scrambled eggs). When pan is hot, add noodles (you should hear some sizzling). Add 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and stir. Let cook for 3-5 minutes to get the noodles crispy. Pour in egg and mix all ingredients together. You can also cook frozen vegetables on the side and add them.
